Giovanni Lombardini, well-known contemporary artist, fills with light and colour the exclusive spaces of the Golden Palace.
Selected from the three collections Scie, Rime and Pietre Preziose, the works of Giovanni Lombardini are interspersed in a luminous rhythm throughout the spaces of the Golden Palace. Gold is a constant colour motif and dominates the work the artist has produced for the hotel using a particular technique: a flow of gold dust and paint, very liquid, on the smooth, non-absorbent surface of a Formica support. The flow generates unique compositions that are treated with a high-gloss fixative to further amplify the component of light on matter. Lombardini’s technique does not require using a brush. There is no contact between the artist’s hands and the work surface, which is controlled by gentle tilting in search of patterns with a strong decorative effect.
